The FDA-approved SkinPen® treatment works in three simple steps, designed to activate the skin’s natural healing process. Following each session, the skin begins to heal itself, looking more renewed and rejuvenated over time.  SkinPen® is only used in professional settings and delivers dramatic results without the use of heat or chemicals.
Inflammation
SkinPen’s microneedles penetrate the skin’s surface, triggering a natural immune response to disinfect, remove debris, increase blood flow, and activate the creation of new tissue.
Proliferation
The micro-channels or tiny holes created by SkinPen® are rebuilt with new granulation cells that include collagen proteins. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
Remodeling
New dermal tissues form, rich in collagen and elastin proteins. These proteins improve skin quality, visibly reducing facial acne scars, pigmentation and wrinkles, leaving skin more smooth, radiant, and younger-looking.
A consultation is required prior to treatment and can be done the same day. Your practitioner will send you home with a post-care kit containing gentle, safe products to ensure a smooth healing process. The recommended treatment plan is 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. Once you reach your desired outcome, we recommend 1-2 treatments per year for maintenance.
This treatment can be enhanced for an elevated outcome by pairing it with PRF or Exosomes. Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) is a component of your blood that contains a high concentration of stem cells, growth factors and fibrin to help facilitate faster healing, brighter skin and increased collagen production. Exosomes, or exosome therapy, is a new professional-level skin treatment that is often used in conjunction with microneedling or laser therapy. After having a laser or microneedling treatment (in which tiny microchannels are created in the skin) an exosome serum is then layered on top. These exosomes are used as 'signaling molecules' and work by stimulating your skin at a cellular level. They hunt out cells in need of repair and basically give them a kick, helping them to speed up collagen and elastin production.
